Our flight would be landing a little prior to 1am in the morning. We just have a room to accommodate us till the sun is up so we might tour cebu for just 1 day as comfortably as head back to the airport later in the thoughing to go back to manila. Whenever it is in the city, might you please specify the name of the motel as comfortably as it is location so we can tell the taxi cab as we are heading?

Queensland motel… about 10 minutes away from the airport… it is in the similar road as the old bridge…

There is Mactan Pension right in front of Gaisano Mall.It’s just 2-3 mins away from the airport. You can inquire the hotel’s number through PLDT 187 for the rates.
Try KonTiki on Mactan Island at Maribago Beach. It is nice enough, reasonable enough, and—They do not care how long you stay as long as you pay, but—they are reasonable!!!
You can catch a tricycle, a taxi or… and for a short , inexpensive ride—you will be at KonTiki.
Edde Love (a transplanted Australian) has a place also, near by to KonTiki. He will pick you up at the airport and transport you, feed you, and bed you for a very reasonable price.
I can tell you one thing for certain, “If” your intention is to land in Cebu and make a “whirlwind tour” of Cebu and leave out in the afternoon; You are being ridiculously ignorant of what is located in this area. However, “IF” this is your intent—tour Mactan only and do not waste any time in doing other things. Mactan Island is where McGellan was killed in the Philippines and it is rich in Filipino history.Give up something else on your apparently tight schedules and tour Mactan/Cebu. I lived on Mactan for six months. I never saw all that I should have. I watched native Filipinos, with the crudest form of tools imaginable; create the most beautiful Guitars that you can possibly imagine ‘and’ at the most reasonable prices you could ever imagine!!! There are many true artists there and their history deserves more than a fast, one day , whirlwind tour. Do yourself and them a favor; “IF” that is all of the time you can allocate—-don’t waste your time or money, Just stay home!!
you can get a room at the hotel de mercedes in downtown cebu for about PHP 800, less than $ 20 US. it is downtown in the historic part of cebu, the taxi drivers should know it
make sure you visit tops for the sunset before you head back to the airport

if you prefer in the city, try golden prince hotel, its near ayala business park.
When I go to Cebu we stay in Elegant Circle Inn on Fuentes circle. for 1,000 for 2 people. You can see their contact # & others by clicking on “pension houses in cebu.com”. If you contact them they can arrange to have somebody pick you up.
Another good place is fuentes pension house close to the same place.
